    Barry Harris, "Round Midnight"
Barry's another cat who I studied with for years...played with...in fact he was going to be on "From the Moon" but he had a gig in Italy get expanded to two weeks so he missed my session. I could have waited but I already had tickets back to Istanbul and gigs myself after the session...He's given me enough stuff to work on to keep me busy the rest of my life...:) He's the MAN..he's one of those cats, that everytime his fingers touch the keyboard the hairs on the back of my neck stand up...:D And every day that he is in NYC he is up a 10 am and out helping Stroke victims with rehab...He's like a saint, and a genius...

Excellent catch JoAnna. Moose The Mooche was a code name Charlie Parker's drug dealer and Mack the Knife is a gangster. That's the tie to those songs.

A side note: At the time J.D. Sumner (bass singer and owner of the Stamps) was recorded in the Guinness Book of World Records with the lowest ranging human voice 22Hz in a song recorded in 1966 (that is just 2Hz above the bottom threshold of hearing).
