I can use this bowl and still build lather on the face.

I was gonna put something out there about a bowl with a water dwelling animal in it.......I think I will pass on thst post though..

Try lather on your face. Don't get it twisted.

 

With soaps I really don't understand the extra step of lathering in a bowl to then put it on my face. Face lathering is part of the experience for me I love the feeling

We do not hockey where I am from. The puck is where for this lathering? Load from the cake...lather on the face...

For me, it is easier to get the water right in a bowl and only apply when you are happy.

For some, stronger concentrations could cause irritation so whipping in a bowl allows for dilution before application minimizing the chance for having sensitivity.

Some like to warm the lather and brush in a scuttle before application.

It's also fun!

 

That sounds like mostly cream issues.

 

I agree there too I never get the lather right trying to face lather with creams. It's probably just my technique because I only use creams about once every 2 weeks

I do both. When I am in any type of rush I simply face lather. But I use a bowl for several reasons:

-I enjoy the process.
-Less mess for the lather I like.
-It is easier to add M-Bomb to a bowl.
-Since I started straight shaving, I do a lot more touch ups. I find it easier to have a bowl of lather sitting there where I can just "grab and dab".

 

Apply cream to face, lather with damp brush. Just like Arko.

 

...apply M Bomb to face, lather with wet brush.

 

Pull the pin wait 3 seconds toss and run.

 

Why bother running - you just tossed the pin.

This has been my travel soap for years, as you see it is approaching the end!

I don't know of too many commercial soaps that lather as easily as Arko.
