You think that I think you're pregnant and have begun to show? I think we can eliminate that thought since I have never seen you in person. I intended to remark about your poor personal hygiene--as evidenced by the persistent dermatitis on your gluteus for which you sought our counsel sometime back. What deeper significance did you place in that auto-correct error…if you feel comfortable sharing that with us?
If he has mentioned it in a public forum, it is not confidential. Besides which he demanded a refund.
I hate( seriously dislike, not good to hate) waiting on auctions, sorta wish they all had buy it now options. can you contact the seller and ask to buy it now?
I'm waiting on a five day auction to end so I can get what I want. Gixen has helped me avoid auction anxiety...somewhat. As for contacting the seller, it never hurts to try.
You just plug in the item number and the highest price you're willing to pay. Gixen automatically submits your bid in the last few seconds of the auction. Then you just sit back and wait for the "please pay now" email. You can also set it up to bid on "grouped" items. Say you want a Fatboy. You can set it up so you are bidding on 18 different Fatboys all ending at different times. The first one you win cancels all the other Fatboy snipes.
if your the highest bidder. say you've got twenty dollar high bid, with a thirty max. can someone bid 20.50 with just seconds to go and use the clock to get their bid in last, or do they honor my highest bidder status until someone bid over my max bid?
Your bid will go up by the next increment until one of you max's out. If the increment was .50 you would automatically get it for $21.00. If he bid a max of $23.00, you would get it for $23.50. If his max bid was $32.00, he would get it for $30.50.
Yep. But it also prevents people from doing "nibbling" bids. Let's say you bid $20 at the beginning of an auction. The starting price is $10.00. Someone bids $11, then $12, then $13 and so on until they beat your bid, because eBay will automatically bid for you until your cap is reached. If your snipe is $20, and Gixen puts that bid in at the last second, a nibbler will only have time to put in that one $11 bid, and then you'll win the item for $11.50 or $12. If someone has a higher top bid, you'll still lose regardless of whether it comes as a snipe or as a high initial bid.
When I was totally new to eBay I bid on a porcelain shave soap holder with a lid. I was the only bidder for about four days and I thought "great, no one is interested in this thing and I'm going to win it". In the last two seconds I found out what sniping meant.
Lost out on this guy. http://m.ebay.com/itm/291551934972?_mwBanner=1 There's a pretty good chance there's a Rooney or Simpson knot in that brush, considering the red box. It went for $36.50, an amount I considered surprising, because the brush is monogrammed with "TSHH," lowering it's value considerably. I had a $15 snipe set on it.
This week's losses: 1) This Kent brush...that went to someone on here... (I believe it has a spider in it though..) 2) GEM razor As pretty as it is...or could be...it sold for way over what I was capped at 3) Schick Floating Head Sold for twice what I was willing to spend...
too many to mention, not just shaving gear. I think the problem is that there are too many shady people on ebay
