The beard trimmer quandary!!

I've probably tried or thought I tried a beard a half a dozen times in my lifetime. I always end up looking like a homeless street person. I've decided to give it one more try. So, I start playing on GOOGLE for 'beard trimmer reviews'. After looking at three different reviews it's more confusing now than ever. Each review has a complete different rating for the various trimmers. One would think different people were receiving financial reward for their modified opinions but I'm sure that can't possibly be!!

My thinking is to keep a beard length a little longer than stubble but to keep the neck and cheek lines trimmed. Braun makes one that looks interesting but I thought I would ask opinions before I made the purchase.

I've heard good things about the Braun, although it was a little more than I personally wanted to spend. I think about making the purchase every year that I grow my winter beard.

I now have a goatee, per my wife.
I bought a inexpensive one at waly world.
If your beard is as tough as mine, none of them will last very long anyway.
I used to trim my hair with electric clippers.
Replaced a few after they failed.
I finally bought the ones made for trimming dogs, they lasted a long time.
I gave it to my daughter and they are still working.

I like Phillips Norelco One Blade.
    Had others, like this best.
    Use it for length grooming.
