Okay, forget episodes 1 and 2. In fact, there are no episodes! There is also no blood except for a few weepers... oh wait, I did cut my thumb when an EJ de89 broke and the head fell off, slicing my thumb severely. So there was definitely blood! And remember, YMMV I have spent a great deal of time putting many razors to the test. I have purchased four Edwin Jagger razors, 2 de89, a de87, and a de86- only to discover that I wasted a lot of money because they all have the exact same heads - three Merkur, a 34c, a 38c, and a 37 slant - a Gillette black beauty, a West Coast razor from the midnight collection, two Parkers, both three piece designs, and a couple Chinese off brands that are not worth mentioning, and I have finally made my choice for my favorite go to razor. Now remember, this is only my experience, you may have completely different experiences. And I'm posting this in hopes that it might help some newbies in what to invest in without having to buy as many razors as I have. Anyway, here it is.... DRUM ROLL PLEASE.... The MERKUR 34c hd has given me the best shaves on a day to day basis. I hope everyone will list your favorite razor and or razors. What razor should I buy is the most frequently asked question by newbies. If we all list our favorites, and maybe list the razors you really don't like, it will probably help some of the newbies to invest their money wisely. Thought maybe this might help.
Hhhmmmmm, thought I had a good idea to help some newbies, but like with most things, it's already been done. Oh well, it was just a thought. I'll bet the other thread doesn't have episodes 1 & 2 either.
Hi You're right, I tried bringing back a thread on why DE razors not long ago and some people complained because I brought it back. Looks like I'm always stepping in it the proverbial puddle of shave cream. Lol
No, but yours has a much better intro! The thread I linked is a sticky. Stickies are there for a reason, because they are deemed worthy of the status. They are a plethora of information, always at the top of each forum and/or sub-forum. Problem is, many don't bother to take time to read the stickies.
There are enough of us newer guys that enjoy rehashing some of the old threads. There is much to be learned. Plus as technology changes and new equipment becomes available they needed to be added to the discussion.
