I made this makeup brush for my wife out of a knotted piece of Louisiana cypress wood, I built the brush around the knots (on a lathe).
I make the makeup brushes out of white goat hair, they are very soft and my wife says they are the best makeup brushes because they hold the makeup better she claims her blush lasts much longer since she has been using them. All I have to go on is what she tells me since I dint wear makeup lol.
But you do shave... Did you know (I didn't) goats hair is used to make shaving brushes? If you need a tester for your new line of brushes, let me know. http://www.aliexpress.com/item/Shav.../2034548978.html?spm=2114.40010308.4.2.3Sfx0k http://www.amazon.co.uk/Miniature-Goat-Hair-Shaving-Brush/dp/B005NSDUAQ
Goat hair is only suitable for very small shaving brushes. I have one, and it's interesting. Also too small to be usable.
Perhaps for shaving baby faces? Or... Well... You know where... Toe hair! (not suitable for Hobbits. May their toe hair never fall out!) [end subject diversion] Still a great brush, Ceferguson!
More for the womanly 'stache. Nowadays waxing has largely replaced the need for such things as miniature brushes.
I don't think they will work well for shaving there is no backbone just feather soft, maybe different breeds of goats or from certain body parts the goat hair maybe better for shaving, my guess is the hairs for the makeup brush come from the belly
