My dad used to have good 'idears' (ideas) once in a while.
That's ANOTHER one.....I don't understand how "ideas" got thrown into the mix. but I've lived with it most of my life.
Maybe cause somebody thought it was a great eye-dee-er to douse on the Clubman right before heading off to the maa-kit to stroll with the Clubman Babes!
You aren't going to let that one go, "ahhh ye"? (But I love it anyway)
It's hard to get encouraged to write about Clubman in this warm/hot weather, but I've begun to play around with what I'll include in my "Pinaud Package Of 2019".
Hmmmmm we need Clubman with a chill. Maybe dare I say it ..... Icy Clubman!
I’ve been rockin’ Clubman two or three days a week on average. While it’s not technically a “summer scent,” it’s either going to be received well or not, regardless of the calendar.
I guess that would be akin to Stoylin's Eskimo Tuxedo(Icy Sharp Dressed Man).
My skin isn't as "receptive" as yours when it comes to using a cold weather scent on a hot day.
I've been using Clubman for years and though I do use it year round; I find due to its warming effect, I use it far less in the warmer months. The scent isn't a problem (SWMBO is a big fan) any extra warmth in July isn't welcome.
Y'know, now that I think of it there are SOME Clubmen products that are manageable in the summer-like Gent's Gin(which I'm enjoying now), and those Lime aftershaves(which I may purchase some summer). But those aren't the same as the vintage barbershop classics(Original, Special Reserve)that are enjoyed in the fall/winter. I'd say the other two "Clubman Reserve" brands(besides the Gent's Gin)would be best in the warm weather, too.
Lime Sec and Lime Musk are regulars for the summer for me.
Well, that settles THAT. I'll have to get one before next summer.
Of the two Lime Musk is a must, that said, I wouldn't part with either one.
Interesting-I just looked at tbem both(Clubmanonline.com)and felt I'd go with Sec. But yo'u're right-I'm sure both are fine. My goal is to have enough Razorock "Lime Burst" soap left for it. Course soaps tend to last quite a while.
I’m wearing Lime Musk right now.
I usually purchase mine from amazon ... seems like the best price.
I've been using VIBR to get the Caribbean island groove thing.
I guess there is SOME C.I. groove to that, but it appears too clovey for me. (To be fair, I haven't tried it). Cloves=Christmas, not Carribean)
There's a high number of Amazon reviewers for most of the Clubman products...lots of "5's" .
