Well, that might be true IF we got to pick our own CT's. We don't get to. We are... um... gifted... with them.
awesome abuse of power..... What I fear most is power with impunity. I fear abuse of power, and the power to abuse.
Oh come on! Time for a reality check. CTs are all given out in good fun usually over something silly that we have posted. It's a sign of being part of the TSD family.
I figure if I was "Gifted" or "Given" a CT that was too objectionable; I'd just contact the Queen or another moderator to kindly improve or remove it.
That might get ya a more elaborate one. When you're gifted a CT best just to grin, face-palm, and choose an appropriate avatar. Tapatalk Via Kyocera
A CT is just like a nickname that you don't pick or ask for, it is given because of something you do or say and often a gentle reminder of something embarrassing.
Well here's a fact to lighten the mood: the Canadian apology act of 2009 essentially sates that saying "I'm sore-y" after an accident is only a statement of sympathy and not an admission of guilt or fault.
After losing to the American men for the first time ever in curling, I'm sure there are a lot of sore-ies flying around the Canadian locker room.
I think that all that @Bama Samurai was saying was to relax. The CT are all in fun and not a negative slam. From what I've seen in the past they were given when something was posted by a member that was funny. Nothing hurtful intended; but this all said it's what I gather from remark.
