Hahaa - am glad to be here, since deciding to swing to DE it's quickly becoming a more frequently introduced topic in circles - and very interesting 'takes' on it alone as well as the cold H2O approach...just getting my bearings now but sold for the duration. Want to try and explore without creating yet another money pit - this forum is a fantastic tool and outlet. Great attitudes seem to flow from the DE crew here...love it...and thanks!
SOTD Tue. 5/17/16 Prep: Noxzema Classic SS: Figaro Monsieur Gold SB: Semogue 620 Boar Razor: Schick E2 Blade: Schick Super Chromium ASB: Stirling Glacial Lemon Chill Shower Soap Bar: Grandpa's Patchouli/aloe Cologne: Nautica Voyage Good morning friends. Immensely enjoyable shave this morning, made so easy by this efficient yet smooth E2. The Figaro Monsieur Gold is a real winner of a soap providing bountiful, easy, slick, rich lather. Today i loaded my brush by tilting the container upside down and wouldn't you know it, it works fantastically well. Finished off with Glacial Lemon Chill goodness and it's much appreciated in this Fla, heat. Dolphin smooth in three. Have a wonderful day gents.
SOTD Wed. 5/18/16 Prep: Noxzema Classic SS: Route 66 Lumberjack SB: Semogue 620 Boar Razor: Schick M Adjustable Blade: Schick Super Chromium ASB: Stirling Glacial Lemon Chill Shower Soap Bar: Grandpa's Patchouli/aloe Cologne: Lapidus by Ted Lapidus Good morning guys. Wonderful three pass shave today, ending in a dolphin smooth finish. Easy slick, rich, lovely scented lather from my Route 66 soap. Beautiful way to start this rainy day. Have a great day folks.
So last shave with the above the tie razor for a little bit, as today I should be receiving the wolfman razor, King cobra and the mongoose thanks to a wonderful friend of mine on this forum. He looked out for me and found a wolfman at a very good price and allowed me to purchase his king cobra while lending me his mongoose. I can not be more thankful. Fellowship of cold water shavers
Tonight's shave was amazing, the wolfman lives up to it's reputation. Completely smooth in every way possible but very efficient without being too aggressive. Fellowship of cold water shavers
Really digging the cold water shave (or in my case ice water shave). Scrubbed face with Clarisonic, did cold compress on face after shower, applied preshave oil, installed new blade(Astra sp) into slim set to 4 and lathered up. Great shave. No irritation at all on neck. This is only my 3rd de shave. I think I like the Astra more than the voskhod. Shave seems a lot closer. Question though, how do you all get those hairs under the nose.
SOTD Thu. 5/19/16 Prep: Noxzema Classic SC: Speick SB: Semogue 620 Boar Razor: Pal Injecto-Matic Blade: Schick Super Chromium ASB: Stirling Glacial Lemon Chill Shower Soap Bar: Grandpa's Patchouli/aloe Cologne: Nautica Voyage Good morning gentlemen. Absolutely wonderful shave this morning with my Pal razor. Today thanks to a kind PIF from my friend Martin aka @Marverel, I was a able to finally try the Speick SC and it is lovely. It smells very comforting to me almost in a medicinal way and lathered up very slickly and creamy. BBS finish, no problem at all. Have a great one friends.
Friday Freeze SOTD Fri. 5/20/16 Prep: Noxzema Classic SS: Stirling Glacial Mita SB: Semogue 620 Boar Razor: Evahs Blade: Ladas ASB: Stirling Glacial Lemon Chill Shower Soap Bar: Grandpa's Patchouli/aloe Cologne: 1-12 by Halston Good morning everyone. Outstanding shave this morning with the Evahs, such a smooth razor yet surprisingly efficient. Glacial Mita SS offered such a wonderful freeze which only intensified with my Glacial Lemon balm. What a lovely way to start the day and with a dolphin smooth face to boot. Have a great one friends.
This time I had to try the cobra. Very close shave and my first time using feather blades. But the angle of this thing takes some getting used to. Fellowship of cold water shavers
Some of my DE razors tend to leave some stubble under my nares. I find that the angle of attack is usually the limiting factor. If a particular razor is slacking in this area, my solution has become to keep a Schick G close at hand for some final touch up in this area. You can also try pulling your nose up and away from the side your shaving with your non-razor hand, while tightening your lip over the teeth with your mouth open to help pull the corners of your lip down with to gain a bit more access. Unfortunately, this approach does nothing to encourage RAD.
SOTD Sat. 5/21/16 Prep: Noxzema Classic SS: Haslinger Coconut SB: Semogue 620 Boar Razor: Gillette 1970 Black Beauty Blade: Ladas ASB: Stirling Glacial Lemon Chill Shower Soap Bar: Grandpa's Patchouli/aloe Cologne: Grey Flannel by Geoffrey Beene Good morning guys. Nice shave today with the Black Beauty. On the advice of my friend @Billyfergie i added a good amount of water to the Haslinger soap today and it worked wonders. Beautiful yogurt like consistency on this lather, just fantastic! Have a great weekend friends!
Second round with the king cobra and it's definitely a close shave. Less blood this time and very clean shave. Fellowship of cold water shavers

Wonderful shave this morning with my new to me Palmolive shave stick that Martin aka Marverel kindly PIF'd to me. It's beautiful! Lovely slick, protective, cushiony lather. Three passes for a BBS finish easy as pie. Have a great day guys.

Wonderful menthol Monday shave today with my lovely Stirling Glacial Mita soap. Three passes with the R41 dolphin smooth, easy as pie.
