Nice review. Irritation happens. Sometimes it's too much pressure, or the blade and sometimes it's just the way it is. Adjust technique, consider the tools and know what works for others may not work for you. Like you said maybe the 3 pass festival doesn't need to be every shave in irritation prone areas

Hmmm, i have been cold shaving with cartridges for ages. But i thought with DE it was a "no no"... I even saw some youtube videos with people trying cold shaving and they were saying that while they did shave, it wasn't comfortable. I am a bit shocked to find a 79 page thread here. I guess when i will be more comfortable with DE, i will try it too.

 

As our friend @swarden43 says, "It's your shave, enjoy it your way." We don't have any "no no" designations around here! Use what works for you. I enjoy cold water shaving because it helps with redness and irritation. But some others don't care for it at all. No big deal! We use what we like and enjoy and share our experiences.

 

Since it costs you nothing to try, I think everyone should try cold water shaving and form their own opinion. I say this because I was skeptical, but now I am biased towards a cold water shave
