Two vintage brushes arrived today. Both handles are in excellant condition and will make easy resto projects. I just have to find a couple 16mm knots for these little guys.
The Barrister and Mann Soaps arrived today. Really quick turnaround on the shipping. Test lathered all three. Really like the Latha and Seville. Not sure about the Lavanille. All I get is musk at this point. Hope the scent rounds out after a few uses. Also, got my Floid and Myrsol Aftershave samples from Gary. No to decide which to try first.
This might help you 'understand' why they feel differently: (* The numbers signifies in what order the ingredient is listed on the bottle - presumably meaning that the earlier it is listed the more prevalent the ingredient is). It also makes it easy to see, for instance, that Agua Balsamica is the only one without Menthol, etc.
My first Schick arrived today - a gold Schick Krona in gold in fantastic condition. It came in a lot with these other four razors; - Two Gillette Trac razors, - One no-name brassish razor in velvet pouch, and - One Plastic Schick disposable. Unless someone tells me that that Plastic Schick is the "Schick Unobtanium DE" made in uber low quantities and now basically impossible to find and that it goes for a lot of money - odds are all these four razors will end up in own personal landfill [which is a small box now containing about 10 razors that I have no interest in and have little to no perceived value. Their future is grim and up in the air].
so I just bought another fatboy off the bay....I know, I know ics:....but will post as soon as I get it....i did get it for very very cheap IMO
Nice! I was watching for FBs for a while but lost interest when they all skyrocket out of my price range... Glad you got one for a great price.
well I know you have a $10 rule and I paid more than that, but I can say that razor might have to be the exception to the rule...every traditional wetshaver should have one IMO (even if they dont use it)...A LOT of the prices on the FB's are just crazy but there are some out there that you just say "I cant NOT bid on it at that price", luckily for me I saw it with 10mins left on the clock....I guess what im saying is, get yourself one.
Lol..true about my "limit" but I know that can't, and won't be adhered to for every razor... But when they go for triple digits, then its out for me. I'll keep my eye out in the antique stores. I do have a slim at least. Looking forward to your pictures.
I have tried a sample of that shave cream and its very nice. i love the bar soaps they have, they last a long time. Me and my girlfriend use them in the bathroom. Yes, i know the bar soap is BIG, we cut it in half hahaha =) right not I have the verbena soap. Before we had the milk one, it was very nice and mild.
