Thanks. Gibbs has another real interesting razor with two levels of aggressiveness that Im trying to get as well. Having to mod blades for them has tempered their popularity I beleave.
Whaaaaaaat - a Gibbs adjustable!?! That's one I really wanted to get...sigh... Looks great. Are you gonna use NOS blades or do the simple mod w/ modern ones?
Thanks. Its in much better shape than the sellers pics showed. Im leaning towards modding blades. My cast is off next week, so will be able to wield the Dremel.
I think the simple mod is to just clip the ends. I got a Gibbs I haven't tried out yet - looking forward to hear how your works for you. I BELIEVE that the head on my M.Peroni was made by Gibbs and that razor turned out to be absolutely stellar.
3 new old razors today at an Antique Show and Sale. My second Canadian 175 Goodwill, a Paragon open comb, and a Canadian G Schick
Waiting on my wife's grampa's shave kit - coming from another family member. Not sure exactly what will be included but excited since there is some personal history and it will be my first vintage equipment
