I bought a Parker variant not long ago and I when I bought I knew there were cosmetic issues with the plating / coating. I contacted Parker and they sent me a replacement . The color is now graphite grey instead of black.



It's a great shaver and super aggressive on the high settings.

 

Damn that's a beautiful razor and I love the handle!

Today's mail brought three more soaps and a vintage Gillette Slim 1963 razor. The soaps were some that I have been meaning to buy and try. We'll see about the Arko. Lots of discussion about this soap - I'll giving it a try this week. This will be the first "stick" - all my other soaps are in tubs. The Slim is in excellent shape and will try it out on the next shave. It arrived very clean but I always run vintage razors through the ultrasonic cleaner with a bit of dish soap and then disinfect it with alcohol.

 

Nice haul! I really like Proraso Green. I like the White soap as well. How is the scent of the Reef Point Barbershop?

All in a new handle.

 

Order of mostly B&M products arrived today. A quick sniff of each revealed some interesting and unique scents.

 

They seem right at home in those handles.

 

I have used the Proraso Red for many months and like it. Lots of folks like the Green so I thought I would give it a try. This is my first Reef Point soap. The scent is very nice - not sure what barbershop scent is really suppose to be. I have the Stirling Barbershop which is a great soap. I just finished shaving a few minutes ago with the Reef Point - excellent thick lather - slick too. I like it.

 

They do, don't they. The Tuxedo was a perfect fit. The cashmere is the first of that type I have used. As soon as I put it in the handle, I knew it was home. The synthetic horse just goes with the color of the handle. I am very happy.

 

Picked up another Pre Shave Oil to add to my arsenal.

Used it for the first time this morning and I can definitely recommend it.

A generous 4oz bottle with convenient pump dispenser.

A nice feel on my skin and good performance; all at a very affordable price.
