Easy peasy.. I would use a black felt to line the bottom of the case. Then I would use cardboard for the base and have it wrapped in felt or velvet ( personally I would go with felt). Use the same material for the lid. The cardboard base I would layer one on top of the other so you can build it up. A couple of quick designs would be a c-notch type for a blade bank/ pack of blades or where you cut out a small area for a blade bank

Somewhere, who knows where, I have a metal insert for this type from a case with no spring. Either use that for a Gillette razor, or make inserts to fit my Custom Lady Eversharp, oh such blasphemy............

My *last* razor purchase. This will complete my grandson's Milord series (although if it shaves as great as my '41 Ranger Tech, he'll have to wait until I return from the wilderness to get it).

Edit: Yup, he'll have to wait. Superb shaver.

TV Tropes has this to say about the "Impoverished Patrician":

"A character comes from the bluest of Blue Blood; he or she may be descended from royalty or at least from the highest circle of aristocracy or Old Money. Their family name is loaded with history.
Unhappily, that family name is pretty much the only thing they have left. The great estates have long since been lost or sold off, the servants have left (except, sometimes, for the Old Retainer), and the mortgage is due on the family castle. Whether by war, revolution or simple bad luck the noble dynasty is left penniless."

So, what has this to do with Wet Shaving? Well, a few days back, I mentioned that I had won an auction for a somewhat distressed Aristocrat. This is a picture from the original auction:

It arrived on Thursday and I've been working at it off-and-on since. It's still a work-in-progress, but I've managed to mostly straighten out the bent Safety Bar and bring back some lustre.
    IMG_0157.JPG IMG_0158.JPG

It's definitely had a hard life with some seriously bad tarnish. I'm still working at that but I'm not even sure if I'm dealing with tarnished gold, nickel, or brass or all three simultaneously. As you can see in the second picture, there is also some pitting on the edge of the door opposite the bent SB; this was actually causing some blade deflection. Lastly, it has an issue that I've never seen in a TTO:
    IMG_0159.JPG

Apparently, the friction fit between the handle and collet no longer holds it in place.

As you can see, it is truly an Impoverished Patrician. (Is there a one-word term that captures that concept?) Some day, it definitely needs a trip to the spa. :)

That said, I did shave with it yesterday and found it a bit aggressive but not overly so. It was actually a great shave.

When you snap a blade in 1/2 it is nice to have a place for each half.

Thank you gentlemen. The scent is strong and a touch more floral than I would normally like. SWMBO loves is, so it is a keeper

A strange flea find today. A coticule and a half. The Coti is 4 x 2 with the stink dished out of it. Somebody had a sharp pocket knife. The 7 inch BBW somewhere lost its mate but still in useable shape
