It had been a good month at the dirt mall for stones. Usually the flea markets become slow this time of year but I think the Snowbirds are slow to leave this spring with winter still going strong. This is a true rescue. A 9 1/2 x 2 3/8 coticule from a unexpected seller. Seller is a "we buy gold" dealer and was using the BBW side of the stone to test gold. He found a much smaller black Arkansas stone he like better and said that the larger stone had to go. Saved from a life of being covered in gold and acid. Todays Coti and in a grouping of wild stones found in the last 30 days

Yep, it arrived today and I nearly wet myself with joy haha.

My new (old) Aristocrat to replace the one I foolishly sold... you'll be going nowhere for many years, my pretty... :love029:

Thank you :p I'm especially pleased with this one. It's a wonderful shaver I'd recommend to anyone - feels very much like the rocket HD but looks like it's wealthier brother.

The Hoffritz looks knot looks good ... I may just give it the "spa" treatment, re-letter it and a light polish.

And a sad Erskine that needs some TLC

I no longer have a Hoffritz razor but if I did, lol I would have to borrow money from the wifey again.. :happy102: I would want to add to the theme. I had a Hoffritz Slant but sold it and I still have the Hoffritz razor dispenser so all three would have been cool!

BBW side of the stone? I'm having a bit of a Parse Error here as that abbreviation only makes me think of chunky redheads. :)

HAHA. In this forum it stands for Belgium Blue Whetstone. If have heard it has other meanings in other forums. Not that I would know.

Well it isn't shave related, but after see Ready Player One, my inner geek came out and I had to pick up the retro Mattel Electronic Football from Amazon. Long before smartphones, this and Coleco's Electronic QB or Head to Head were the games of the day when I was a kid. Still loads of fun for $11! I thought this might bring a blast from the past for some of you guys. Like I need another time burglar.

Had a pair or razors land today. The first is the final piece of the puzzle! A 1916 "G in D" Bulldog that I traded for (I will respect his privacy unless he wants to chime in). A really stunning example and the last one I needed to complete the run of 1914 to 1921 Bulldogs in Silver...

Interesting piece this one. Lacks the "Made in USA" and has the Gillette logo includes the "Known the World Over" in itty bitty text.

Next up is a really nice 1918 that I believe is a nickle version but t's going to need to see the dentist aka Cap't Murphy for some cosmetic work. Apparently it's a stranger thing as it's from the Upside Down aka the patent information is on the wrong end and upside down (like my 1915)...
