The Haul: April 2020

Four NOS 1962 Lady Gillette's (all H-2's) for my 2 daughters and 2 grand daughters. Since my son and 2 grandson's are getting my razor collection - I had to be fair to the gals. My youngest daughter has been using one for several years now and loves it. Another item crossed off my bucket list.

 

Razorock Hawk V3 open comb and A plate razors. This is the first time in years I bought a new razor at retail.

 

Fresh in the package .... very nice!

 

Waiting for 58 years in a box. Amazing this stuff still turns up,,,,,

 

..am thinking some museums went bust or collectors selling off recently..awesome..

 

Thursday mail call is Crabtree & Evelyn West Indian Lime shave soap in wooden bowl.

Einführung des GOLF Rasierapparats

Yes another different kind of razor for the misfits in my den.

The GOLF single edge razor that uses double edge razor blades.
And you don't snap the blades in half either.


I know almost nothing about this razor and so far have found out nothing about who made it and when.
It has german and dutch writing on the handle, so that gets it to Europe.

Got it loaded with a new Feather blade.
Gonna see how it cleans the up the brush in the morning.

My first venture into synthetics, a Yaqi Mysterious Space tuxedo fan knot, 26mm. A beautiful brush, very soft tips, good backbone.

Friday mail call is an 8 oz bottle of St Johns West Indian Lime aftershave I got for 35 USD.

 

Where did you get that Rapid Shave? I'd love to try another vintage foam(course Barbasol, Gillette and Clubman aren't exactly "new").

These two Schick razors arrived today. I just wanted them because of their cases and did get them pretty cheap. The Type I case is missing the part on the bottom to snap the cover in place, which was in the seller's description, But it's the only one I found so far. I did notice that the Schick case on the left is blue, and am assuming it's the case for the Navy Type E razors. But it has a Type G, which I knew when I bought it. The question is which Type E goes into the Navy case, hopefully one I already have. Maybe @BBS can chime in here and let me know...............
