While I was waiting for my glasses today, I went to an AoS store for the first time and got a tub Lavender Shave Cream.
Stirling order came in today: Bay Rum (hopefully replaces Ogallala in my rotation) Glacial Obsidian (had to try the stuff that crackstar says is almost too cold) Ben Franklin bath soap (it does indeed smell like root beer) Coconut Lime shave soap sample (thanks, Rod!) Container, medium
It is a bit on the nippy side, let me tell you. Not nearly ICY HOT Rub in terms of sheer discomfort, but it does get your attention.
My Muhle Silvertip Fibre brush came today! Its the 25mm faux ivory. I can't believe how soft the tips are, I am very excited to use it tomorrow. With it is a puck of Lothantique shave soap and a box of Polsilver blades. (This makes my third brush in 3 days that I received in the mail)
I was just wondering if there is a spell check issue here.Did you mean that the soap is discounted and if so where can we get it, or did you mean discontinued?
The soap IS unfortunately discontinued. He has tried and had the soap before buying this chunk. Some people that bought the kilo brick before it got discontinued and still has some left is selling the soap overpriced. That is Why razorburn123 was able to get his hands on some of it now.
Today I received a couple of handmade sleeves made out of cork skin, and with a silicone treatment, to prevent rusting. A 7 SR's sleeve: A DE razor sleeve:
A few weeks ago I wasted good money on two (2) Gillette black beauty Adjustables that turned out to be mostly junk after I got the thick surface grunge removed. The short handled one was more corroded than any vintage razor I've ever purchased and the long handled one has a problem with the handle turning in the middle and a crooked adjustment plate. To top it off, from what I've read, they're not repairable. Well, my luck changed today when I stumbled on a 1969 gold Gillette Super Adjustable on my lunch hour and the price was $22. Considering what I spent on the two junk ones I guess I need to do some cost averaging.
My Demon Wars Reformation rule book came today. This is a tabletop RPG my favourite fantasy author developed a while back for friends and family. About a year ago he pitched the idea to his fan base asking if it should be published. There was a huge support group that funded the project (me being a part of it) and this is the result! I donated enough to get a signed copy of the book, so now I can add it to my collection of autographed RA Salvatore books. Too bad I don't have an RPG group... if only I could convince my wife to play...
Hmm. Wonder what's in the bag? Nappy brushes, A Old Spice mug, couple of razors. And this nasty thing. Maybe I will trash it.
