The Haul - August 2016

I got the email about the milder head with the .68 gap today. So can you just change the baseplate? Or do you need a new cap also? Not that I need the razor to be milder it's pretty sweet with the .95 gap. Id like to hear your take on how the milder one shaves.

I received this knot today. A 24 mm "game changer " knot from Amack shave on etsy. Now I'm needing a handle for it.

 

I think @mrchick has a "bucket full of" that are ready to restore. Not sure how attached he is to them.

I would recommend a finer cut blade but to each their own.

As someone who put a digit in the wrong place at the wrong time, I don't think there is a blade fine enough. Mine was on a jointer. Only lost 1/4" of the bone from my dominate hand middle finger tip. I got to keep my nail although it's a little shorter now.

 

I just received a beautiful Brass handle from @Douglas Carey. This baby has some serious mass to it. Next is to decide what 2 band Badger to mount in it.
