It was a good deal because of the broken sleeve, a very common problem. There's a guy who has fabricated a couple sleeves.... So I know a fix is possible. Still works fine fortunately. The no 17 has considerable heft for a small razor. Sent from my Nexus 5X using Tapatalk
I've seen a couple of people have different sleeves, a pen and horn Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I couldn't, I have the clear version of this brush also. The shop owner is Milton and he really does a great job.
Couple of things came in recently. Some vintage Williams - (1) one Bicentennial and (2) two a little bit older (marked 21 cents - the Bicentennial is marked 29 cents) If you look closely you see that Kroger was very generous with their markdown letting you spend only 18 cents for a 21 cent puck. And then a O/S mug and a New LC for $6.50 delivered (eBay). I either paid for a mug and got a free razor or I paid for a razor and got a free mug. For some reason I was the only bidder. The razor is user grade only but I usually pay 6 or 7 bucks for a mug by itself so I thought it was a good deal.
DeHaven Model 2 was seemingly used just a handful of times. It will be SOTD tomorrow. What a gorgeous razor. Sent from my Nexus 5X using Tapatalk
My 100 Polsilver blades arrived from Bulgaria yesterday, it took 7 days from Bulgaria to California. Pretty good service.
One of my ninjas came through. Grand total $30. I'll be cleaning later. And looks like I'm set for SEptember. The Featherweight is staying right where it is.
Won't the FW get in the way if you leave it where it is in the photo? I would put it up and out of the way.
July was razor acquisition month for me. So, I've been going with the small stuff this month. I equate it to a squirrel storing nuts for the winter. Everything came from local chain stores or locally-owned stores: The CO Bigelow came from Bath and Body Works. The Derbys and Personnas came from Sally Beauty Supply. The Wilkinson Sword blades came from a locally-owned drug store and the Gillette PP blades came from K-Mart.
What I thought might be Israeli Reds from Mexico, turns out to be right. Israeli Reds are made in Israel, then shipped to Mexico for packaging and then shipped to the US...... https://www.refinedshave.com/personna-platinum-israeli-red-razor-blade-review/
