Nice looking riffle you got there. I must say that I love lever action rifles. I think they are the way all guns should be made I got me my voskhods as well as 3 PDP Mint Leaf soaps
That is a fantastic looking Venison getter... What caliber is it? I used to use a lever action .44 as my woods / brush buster rifle.
It's a 30 30, according to Winchester this one was manufactured in 1967. Not a collectors piece, yet, but I figure it won't be long as the new ones are being made in Japan. I've got my gunsmith looking for a good deal on another one.
I was thinking the same thing. If you don't have a problem with the lens's size I may have to track me a pair of them down, they look pretty damn cool.
I have a fairly light prescription, though I'm not having any trouble getting used to the size. I went to walmart to ask if they could fit it for lenses (they're just plain old reading glasses right now) and they couldn't figure out how to turn the screwdriver to the lefty-loosy direction, so i labeled the lenses and removed them... i'm'a go back after the hurricane and see if ... maybe target ... can fit me for a pair of lenses... my face likes rectangles and squares.. Depending on the time era, sizes and shapes vary wildly, round being the most prevalent. It was kinda hard to find a reasonably prices, rectangular/square shaped lens. Mine are 18th century, i'm going to assume antique replicas, spectacles. there's loops on the bows for tying behind your wig. Prices on the spectacles are hit-or-miss, but i got mine for 20.
Yeah, the temp hit 118 at least once here. I just couldn't deal with that,so I stayed inside as much as possible
Yes. Several days of 110+ down south of you as well! I get exhausted just driving home in an air conditioned car in the afternoon.
I understand that. Back when I was working I dreaded the drive home, 40 miles in a truck with no a/c. I did have hillbilly 275 a/c, 2 windows down & 75 mph. I couldn't have done it this summer.
As some of you know, I have this infatuation with vintage Palmolive gear too. I like collecting vintage Palmolive stuff about as much as I like collecting vintage Gillette razors. That being said, I scored this awesome vintage Palmolive gift set tonight on eBay for only $6.99 (plus $13.20 shipping lol!):
That gift set I just won so I haven't gotten it yet. If it's still sealed, I won't open it. But I do have a half full bottle on hand it smells mostly of alcohol with a hint of Old Spice-type scent. Not something I'd wear, ever. Reminds me of my grandfathers, definitely.
I was a bit more curious about the SC. Do you plan on using it and do you think it might still work? Great grab by the way.
Here is my load of goodies for the week 100 Lord platinum's Godrej-methol mist Arko Stick 1 pack of Rapira platinum lux blades It just makes me sorry I can only shave once a day.
Today I found a NOS Rolls Razor blade for $6. That's good for me because I would get one from England and it would be that much anyway. This one is going to get shipped to my brother, along with another one I have, to get honed and stropped so I can use them. I noticed with this one the edge is a tad bit jagged in some areas, that's why I'm gonna get it sent off.
I have a few Choice items coming in...and they're not coming in. and they're not coming in. and they're not coming in. the waiting is murrdaa <sigh> oh well better luck next week.
