Wow! Happy birthday! I'd love a Manfrotto or a Giotto tripod one day, now I'm stuck with an el-cheapo, half wiggly, Velebon... Well.. it's pretty stable, but clumsy and weighs quite much, nothing you bring out into the wilderness...
Thank you! I don’t buy much, but when I do, I pay the right price and it lasts. I actually save a lot doing so.
Saw a used Bogen the other day. 3021 w/ 3030 head and shoulder strap for $95. A very substantial unit. If it wasn't so HEAVY!!!
Glad they are now the right size ! when I start with Skates ill be sure to look you up I quickly checked out some forums and different models its certainly just like cars some people go really far in tuning these to their own taste to make the matter even more complex  I ordered my SKIKES yesterday so I hope I have them saturday if not atleast I will have another SKIKE trial lesson so updates in the SKIKE thread later.
I think I hit the "Mother Load"! I am the lucky winner of Padron's noob giveaway and here is my haul. Thanks to Neale I have a wide array of goodies to keep me busy for awhile!
Bought it anyway. Now all I need is a camera!! This isn't mine, but it's this tripod with the other head. Too bad it didn't have a ball head on it.
