I'm very curious to hear how you like the RR slant

 

It's the 2nd generation. I don't have a scale, but I'll tell you the SC102 is 3-4 times heavier the SC head is a bit wider, but I'm so darn excited about trying it out for the next month! I'm not sure if I'll be able to sleep tonight Catie's smells insanely good ! I can't wait to try the LPL! Nice soft soap, fit nicely into my container.

 

I'll need a couple of shaves with it before I can form an opinion.

Bought a sewing machine for my bag making hobby today. $15 for an old timey cast iron machine with electric motor that purrs like a cat.

 

Those machines keep on ticking...my wife's been looking for one. My grandma about 15 years ago basically gave a cabinet style that was foot pedal driven away. At the time I didn't have room for it, wish I would of realized the value and got it from her.

 

They sure don't make them like they used to.

My wife also has a 1900s singer that needs some work, one of those in a cabinet with treadle. It's cool.

 

I recently acquired a Plisson Horn HMW 2-Band Size 20, but only started using it last week.

Thank you. The brush came directly from Plisson, you can check them out on their website here, but do keep in mind the regular HMW hair is a 3-band, and not a 2-band like the one I purchased.

 

In my opinion the 2 band is far more preferable. Beautiful brush! Enjoy!

 

Thank you, Gary! Regarding currently available Plisson HMW hair, I couldn't agree more, particularly in these larger brushes - after all, it's a 69mm loft.

 

Today I was at my mother's house, and she told me that while she didn't find any razors that had belonged to my father, she did find a brush he had owned and used!

So I was really excited to get this:







Nothing all that special, from a collector's point of view... But special to me. This was our tenth Christmas without my Dad.

What scents did you purchase? I bought the grey vetiver wrapped in paper like that...it was very nice. Sweet TSD haul!

 

Birthday, anniversary and Christmas all in 1 month brought a bounty. 3 Shannon's Soaps Silk Pajamas , Smokin' and Aussie Ice. Soap Commander Endurance, Ginger's Garden King's Gift, Havana Cognac, Dragon's Blood, Leather Cowboy, British Empire. Stirling Black Obsidian and Clubman. Vie Long horsehair, Cadet open comb and a Samurai shavette. I'm a lucky guy.

 

But these are the best items to collect after all!! -

Ii think that is VERY special, you are very lucky to obtain it. Even everyday items like these are worth more than any "collectors grade" item to me. Cherish and enjoy!
