Are these current production? Seems Avon has shifted from liquid to lotion. I'll watch for them at Dealers near me. Does the product provide good results?

 

Yes, current stuff. I told her I had an older tube of the black suede and she kind of gasped...Like I should use new instead. Lol.

 

Robeson Shur Edge. Very good condition, never honed. Shiny!

 

Acevivi dual-comb razor arrived today. Looks very well made. It is Gillette month, so it won't be up for trials until January 1, 2017.

 

I think so. Under the 60x, it didn't appear to have a bevel, before I started. At least not a proper one. I just finished honing it, and it took a very sharp and fast edge. Everything aligned beautifully.

 

Found a flea market that I didn't know existed. Got a choo-choo train (1876 Centennial Express) half full of Everest after shave, and a razor full of what ever they came with...

The difference between the satin and chrome models is very apparent in person but I found it hard to capture the difference in photos, here's two attempt though where the satin one is on the left;

 

I should sell my Mongoose buy one of those and spend the remainder on beer....

 

I've gotta say, I like the satin better, the shiny finish on the chrome just looks a bit much to me

 

I'd agree. I didn't think about it before - but now that I have them next to each other I do prefer the more understated look of the satin one.

Sorry, I just realized I didn't answer the rest of your question...

I have an older tube of the Black Suede and love it. Decent scent and it absorbs into the skin beautiful. No greasy residue and feels like silk. I'm going to use the Mesmerize tomorrow.

 

Is the black version a satin finish as well?

 

I also have an Avon razor decanter but with a grey top. Don't know if it has the same scent, mine has Avon Spicy AS in it.

 

I have two others and all have this white/cream colored top. Spicy or deep woods seem to be in alot of their bottles.

I haven't seen a grey, that would be great! Just like a real metal razor...

 

It's more of a light grey, and yeah, I've seen a lot of the cream colored ones around.

 

I've never seen one. I think they are cool. they look massive. How big are they?

 

About 7.5 inches long and holds 4 ounces of AS.
