Received this really lovely and rustic handmade, personalized shaving bowl from a small pottery in Bideford, UK. It's in the yellow honey color that is traditional for the region.
I really like it.


I can just imagine the potterer sitting there and spelling out "Darkbulb" on the bowl...
"What hopeless tosser ordered this self-important shite...?"





I also ordered this sNotrag/hanky that he and his wife makes.
Perfect!

 

Another Gillette Army Tech in the mail today. But one question, if anybody knows. What does the "S" stamp on the bottom plate mean? Haven't been able to find out, but have seen some with it.

It arrived today. 1959 Flare Tip Rocket Gold Presentation Set - mint. This acquisition represents my 5th Rocket flair tip and I'm only lacking the Rocket TV Special to complete my FT collection. *Clarification. The meat and potatoes - razor is mint. The Shipper is very good condition with no tears and only a few smudges. The outside of the case is excellent condition with no hint of rust on the hinges. The inside lower fabric is excellent condition and the upper
fabric is good condition with yellow staining. I've seen 3 other presentation sets (to incl Mr Razor) and all these sets had some sort of yellow stains on the upper fabric. I suspect that the fabric is very susceptible to moisture and thus staining.

 

Walgreens had a 50% off clearance sale on their holiday gifts sets today so I picked up two Stetson collections for a total of $15. A great value.

The slim is dirty but it's fairly clean. There is still 1 unused blade in the blade bank. So it's in great shape. The three razors belonged to a barbers father. I just found out the black handle one is a barbasol

 

Ten 1 oz pucks of Stirling. This should be enough to keep me from needing to buy any new soaps in 2017, but still have a good variety.

 

Nice collection. I like the sample concept since it actually helps in finishing what you buy while providing variety. Sterling samples are a good size too since they are larger. Looks like you will be enjoy 2017.

Was out today and picked up this compartmentalized case to hold the razors not currently being used. It should clean up the sink area, help avoid the constant wiping off of stray water spots, and prevent them from hitting against one another. For $10 bucks it holds everything nice.

I picked a CRSW Limenthol set for cheap. Also have a b&m Beaudalaire set coming since they have said it's not coming back in the foreseeable future.
