It should be does the Slim have the same knurling as the Executive. Executive (58 - 61) came before the Slim (61 - 68). The answer the Slim's handle and knob knurling style is the same as the Executive Fat Boy.

They both were preceded at least for the handle knurling style with the serial Toggles which the earliest ones I know of were made in 1955.

 

I am a sponge sucking up this great Gillette knowledge. I have learned that the more I learn the less I know.

 

Don't know yet if it's worth $26 but I liked it, so I bought it.
Needs some cleaning and has original blades and instructions so...


Need to date it then clean it up good.

one of gillettes first razors,1903-05 ,quite rare to find complete, and i sure more than $26 , mr razor sight shows the differences in cases.. nice score...single ring design replaced the double ring..look up mr razor, and then under razors, click on old type..

 

Looks like a Double Ring and case, early 1900's, with a later blade bank and a Gem Damaskeene blade bank. Interesting mix of parts..............

 

razor emporium has a razor dating chart for finding date via serial number..

The rest of yesterdays haul, have some of these already, but they make great gifts along with a brush and a tub of soap. Got the leather travel case with the flare tip in it.
