The Haul December 2024

These were my December shaving purchases.

 

Nice, Charlie. Which one are you going to 3017 first?

 

Idk, J. I’ve pretty much polished off my puck of vintage Williams recently. It wasn’t a genuine 3017, but I used it for 75% of my shaves for the last two months. The bits that remain I squished in with some Fine’s Snake Bite. I have a bunch of soaps calling my name, so no 3017 in the foreseeable future. Sorry to be a drag

Merry Christmas to everyone

I just wanted to show you my Christmas presents.

The Brush is made by a friend of mine, who is a Pipe Maker and he was kind enough to do me a favor and created a Brush handle for me. It is made from Bruyere with his signature rustication. It is an absolute Masterpiece and my pics won ´t do it´s justice.

The other gift is a Gillette Pocket ABC with Flower Pattern and as far as i am informed it made 1910, so this is my oldest Safety Razor now. Tomorrow will be it´s maiden voyage and i am so hyped.

3rd but not least a Parker Solo Edge or Single Edge for half DE-blades. A magnet holds the blade in place. 94 grams and it feels very solid.
