The Haul: December 26th, 2011 - January 01, 2012

Just got some vintage blades 180 to be exact 100 TIGER, and 80 RuGal-solingen for about £8.00, got them on a Polish site so wont be able to post any pics untill the inlaws bring em over here at easter or when I go there next which will be sumer

 

I got the unit sounding good by feeding it through my old Philips Getto-Blaster
Actually it sounded real good...
Got up this morning about 4am. put on some coffee an some old swing music (Densil Pinnock) and all of
the sudden the Crosly changed functions by itself.
I changed it back and it changed to Phono...
I shut the unit of and back on...same thing!
Obviously some RF issurs with the remote
Back in its box it went...going shopping today

 

I was going through e-Bay when I found a case with a mismatched razor. I wasn't wanting the razor as much as the case. It was the perfect case for my 1918 single ring.

After looking at the one on Mr. Razor I knew it was match and I got it.

Here is the case with the Single Ring and some Blue Blades for effect. I need to get some old style Green Blades but they are a bit harder to come by in good shape.

 

I found a Darker Blue and Nickel Handle Schick Injector to go with the Turquoise one I have.

G4: Schick 66 - blue handle, chrome head

G5: Turquoise handle often textured head

 

I went ahead and updated the earlier picture and then I went back to the G5.

What is interesting is that the G4 is textured and the G5 is smooth.

I decided to take a picture of the two together.



Most of the time we see the Butterscotch handles which I have a few of, but the plastic-colored ones really stand out.

 

I have the G4 too GDC and like all of the injectors it is a great shaver. You will like it.
