The Haul: February 11th- February 17th, 2008

You can never have too many Shame theyre empty..

 

Here's what I picked up at the antique shop today.

A Barbasol tub (not sure what I'll fill it with yet...maybe I'll send it to JoAnna and let her fill it with Bay Rum cream!) Raised letters on the side are, of course, B-A-R-B-A-S-O-L.

ED. PINAUD - PARIS is embossed on the other bottle. I'll fill it with something. But it won't be anything from Pinaud! Ugh!

Looks like another '49 SS. Not bad, though the handle is a bit worn. For $3, I'm not too picky.

No idea what the black razor is, but except for one small spot where the plating is gone, it's very nearly perfect. Long handle, nice heft, adjustable...I might like this one. $5

Can anyone tell me, from the pic below, whether this strop is usable? Has different grades of leather on three sides and a very fine hone on the fourth.

Oops.. I wrote Velva, its actually a vintage bottle of Swedish Aqua Vera.. Sorry TJ but Ill keep it fo myself
