I like the Lime a lot so far. I just swapped it out with the bay rum, the bay rum has a great smell, smells strongly of cloves, and longer lasting than the lime.
My cousin's girlfriend gave me her fathers old razor tonight. Really excited about it. It's a 1931-1951 Gillette New Open Comb. No date code and no serial number. She said she has 2 more somewhere, and they're also mine once she locates them. Her dad recently passed away, and she knows I collect razors. It means a lot that she gave it to me, since she has 2 brothers. I'm cleaning it up now, so I'll post the after pics sometime tomorrow. In the mean time this is what it looked like before I started to clean it. What a beauty! If anyone can shed some light on the date it would be greatly appreciated.
Unfortunately if there's no date code, it's only best guesses on when during the No Date Code period that it was. Nice razor though, I love mine
I had a VERY nice surprise dropped off to my office today. My cousin runs a local estate sales business is always keeping an eye out for me. Two slim adjustables (one had a yummy used blade in it...at least on the upside, the person looked to have been using a Spoiler blade), a nice injector and an good old fashioned Gillette open comb in a cool case (the handle doesn't seem to be cracked...I was shocked). Oh and a pack of air force razor de blades.
My Mike's Natural Soaps arrived today and they smell phenomenal! I ordered full bars (no tin) of the Lime and the Orange-peppercorn-cedarwood and Mike was so kind as to throw in a free mini bar of coconut. But, I may have to wait a bit before trying them to finish off this week's rotation (Institute Karite).
My order from TSD just came in. Super excited! I wont be able to wait for Menthol Monday, but I sure am going to do "FROZEN FRIDAY"!
My order from RoyalShave that came in a couple of days ago! Tabac cream smells great and the aftershave does too!
I bought these two Axe Chilled products today - a facial wash gel and an aftershave gel. I wanted to see how strong the menthol sensation is. I just hope I didn't throw away my hard-earned money. Already I find they smell too hiphop or retro. Maybe, I'll be pleasantly surprised tomorrow when I try them out.
I didn't know they made anything but a body spray and body wash and do they stink real bad do those washes smell the same ?
I believe most of the non-bug-bomb, I mean, body spray, stuff is only European, or at least non-USA. Tho, you can find Axe haircare and body washes around here.
