Yes, I have the matching brush. I just might have to give the set a try.

I have come to the conclusion that I buy brushes strictly for the handle. I have yet to buy a vintage brush where the hairs don't shed like crazy.

One day I would like to purchase a vintage brush and restore it. The concept sounds cool to me. But for now I'm content on just looking at them. Lol I do want to purchase a particular nos vintage I posted about a month ago or so in another thread and I want to get semogue boar , either the 830 or 820? But with so many options I don't know and I don't purchase

 

Went antiquing today and bought some safer razors, old dept store catalogs and a vintage heavy brass nozzle.
Posted a couple of pages from the books that I think some would find interning.
Here before cleaning.

Yes only if we could go back in time for a day.
Just cleaned up the razors. 1) Aristocrat Jr. $10 2) Gillette flare tip (passed up previously but for $10 could not resist) 3) Gem OCMM in brass with box came with some odds and ends old type SC head and New type LC top plate have these all but for $12 could not resist.
Went to another place nice boxed sets but prices were outrageous.
Good day overall as I have paid more for less. After cleaning noticed the short comb is a U.S. version which I have not tried. Will place a handle on it and give it a shot for my next shave.

 

I'd like to go back in time for a day and buy some original Rise shaving creams(Menthol, Protection Plus, Regular). I now think my college friend(A Rise user)had the original set, as this was back in 1977.

 

Found a Sears Craftsman strop in really nice shape. Two horsehide shell elements, but no linen. Also found a user grade blue tip. I won't feel bad about using this one. Good trip to the antique mall. Have already reconditioned the strop and will use it tomorrow.

I hauled a Gillette super speed with the black handle. it's marked p1, 1970. a friend picked it up for a buck and gifted it to me.
friends are nice.
