    Received my Blackland Blackbird Polished Razor with 85mm Handle along with both the open and closed comb base plates. After waiting over 20 weeks, it came while I was out of town on Wednesday! I had my first shave this morning using the closed comb plate. It was a different feel then my other razors and I understand how some note some drag. I think the base plate sharp edges swipe the lather completely away and there is less residual slickness then with my other razors. I will need to experiment further, but nevertheless the shape was extremely close and very enjoyable!
