First shave today with SOC and it went about like you would expect. This will need a break-in period to realize its full potential. Gave it a nice bath last night.

Good tips Dave! Indianapolis doesn't have great places to find "bargains", especially when it comes to shaving gear. The shops on Shadeland are the only ones that I am familiar with and they never have anything of interest to me. Now I just have to decide if I really want to break my NB '17...I have made a promise to SWMBO and I don't like going back on a promise.

I went to Indy once. Had my pickup get broken into and all of my stuff stolen. The cop was nice.

The sad part is they don't want the tools to "work". Pawn shops only give 10 cents on the dollar of value. Gotta buy stolen goods low to sell em high for profit margins.

 

Wasn't for work, was in my Tundra traveling. Smashed a back window grabbed and dashed. Was in a PACKED parking lot of a Bob Evans at 10:30 on a Saturday morning. Right next to the hotel we were staying at. Not a scenario where I was expecting that.

 

A far better use of the stand, IMHO. Nice.

My NB '17 is intact. Both places had bupkis. No Community coffee either...

 

I understand you coffee pain. After hurricane Katrina the Great N.O. Diaspora sent many Louisiana residents to higher ground. They did well getting favored products to other States. If you can't get Community locally, try their website. Love me some Between Roast in the morning.

 

I had the Hussy, But Hauled the Starburst Gillette, RR brush and Holy Cannoli soap for a gift bag for a friend. Also included Thayers Rose Petal WH, a fine assortment of DE and SE blades, a Trio of rose/flowery soaps, and a Kent Handmade brush....
