Today’s mail call from a picker friend of mine. He thought I would like to add these in my DE collection. A Tuckaway and a Super Speed, NOS with all packaging. Love them when they are factory fresh

Feeling lucky, i stopped by one of my honey hole junk shops. This was waiting for me. The TV Special has the 6 blade dispenser and the ladies Gillette I think was gold. Only some color remains in the grooves.

 

If that's blue in the stars, it's a blue one.

 

Thanks, they are blue. It has lost its color, maybe some brass showing on the handle

 

That tv special is a good find! Original blade bank if I’m not mistaken.

 

Hello everyone. Was at work today and a friend came in. Set a quart ziplock on my desk and said, “I know you like these.” I’m in the cleaning phase!

Lol will do! He then said, “We have abunch of single edge ones too, I’ll find them.”

 

just arrived.. brit #44 flat bottom tech set..,early 50s german gillette tech razor.. aluminum baseplate.,unique narrow cap, aluminum ball end handle shorter and thicker than standard one..

 

Very nice!!

 

Best part is the Williams! I do not have a cake in that box. Great find.

Thanks. It is from the Cranford, NJ factory. It is the luxury brand but has zero rose scent left. Smells like old tallow Williams

 

Khaki set arrived and it’s quite different then the other khaki sets I have. The razor,handle and blade case look as if they belong but they don’t. The razor should be old type ball end with the older match type case with the side tabs. The head I got was a triangle slot tech , with a Probak type handle and the smooth blade case. Here are some notable differences.

1. - the fabric is different as it’s not stiff at all and like to others
2. - the single snap
3. - the pouch is smaller.

( I had an extra us army razor head and handle to replace the tech and Probak razor )
