Is the tallow what makes the difference?

Well, it is certainly possible to make a good soap without any tallow at all, and there are excellent soaps where tallow is not the first ingredient. All that we can say here is that the Williams lather changed when they changed their formula. It's really a pity. The old formula made an excellent lather; the newer formula made an inferior lather.

 

No, i dont think so. The difference was just the “formula” . Their modern stuff acted like a bar of soap to me.

 

Found in a localish antique shop.

Couple packages came in today.
The soaps were trades.

The razor lot from ebay which included the bell end old type. $40 shipped.. wowsers


Now I just need to find the blade banks. If not these will do.
