Just pulled the trigger on Cumba Cheech shaving soap and ASB, Marvis Jasmine Mint toothpaste, and Captain's Choice Cat o'Nine Tails AS, courtesy of Christmas money.
Cumba Cheech is a great scent...I think you will enjoy, especially considering you seem to like the Jasmine...Does your handle have anything to do with that?
Indeed it does. Jasman = Jasmine Man. I'd probably be perfectly content to use exclusively jasmine-related scents.
A wonderful day when I arrived at the house 3 packages I had been waiting for all snuggled into the mailbox together. First Package an amazing PIF from Bobcat. This is the blade safari I will be going through and tracking my observations of each blade starting in February. View attachment 45573 Package 2 and three were both from Amazon. My first Alum Block ($8 shipped) and Mitchell's Wool Fat.
A package arrived yesterday at work, end of day… It's a 'wee' one, but my first Simpson. More pics here: Wee Scot
I thought I was buying a beat-up Psycho. (The seller didn't advertise it as such; I made an assumption from the photos.) Instead, I ended up with a beat-up 1920 Gillette with the Bulldog handle. Would this be considered an "Old Style" razor? Three of the four corner teeth are bent, one quite badly. Does this render the razor shaveless? I'm awaiting delivery of two birth-year razors: an unopened Tech, and a Tech Red Cross "Not for sale" razor. Pictures will follow.
Nothing shaving related... Just something for the child in me... A 32 year old guy, with a smile on his face like a little child. I LOVE the Simpsons. So i bought the LEGO House. I will have a lot of fun building it. ...but i ordered 2 soaps a few moments ago...RazoRock "San Valentino" (limited on 250 pieces) and the RazoRock "Son of Zeus". Hope i will like them.
That´s right. It´s the first LEGO i bought since i was a little child...but here i couldn´t resist. I have every Simpsons season which is available at this point in Germany on DVD.I like to watch the Simpsons on English...whole different voices...Lovely!!!
Never know if it is "shaveless" until you try it. Doesn't look like the teeth are bent in such a way that it would interfere with your shave.
My birthday haul from yesterday. The kids got a Rolls Razor and a pack of Don Juan blades for me. The blades look shave worthy, and have an interesting cut out. I stopped by CVS on the way home from work today, and they had the rest of their Shea Moisture African Black Soap products on clearance for 1/2 price. I picked up the Shave Butter Cream and Facial Wash & Scrub.
Let me know how you like the shave butter cream. It is not for lathering just for rubbing in. However I still use a boar brush to apply. Just note what you put on the brush is what you get on your face. It does not grow if you try to lather it but I still find it to be slick, protective and it leaves my face feeling great.
I asked a beautician friend of mine about the african soap products (I have only seen them in the ethnic section) and she confirmed that they are designed and marketed for african americans. Apparently african americans have different skin needs. PLEASE DO NOT MISTAKE THIS FOR ANY TYPE OF ETHNIC SLUR. I am american indian and find the soap very nice. I love the smell but hate the lack of lather. I bought a bar at target some time ago and it was moved to the shower. The scent lasts most of the day.
Thanks for the great info, jpb437 & Cool Breeze. I thought I remembered reading favorable reviews on here, and I got both the cream and wash for about $11 after tax, so figured I would give them a try.
Best time to buy those products is when CVS has them 1/2 off at times. I've stocked up on the shave butter créme, the facial scrub and the bar soap. Good stuff & one of those shave bargains I keep an eye out for. Same ethnicity here…although I am a bigger fan of the shave butter créme vs the soap!
