I completely share your vintage a/s/cologne bottle obsession...I find I look at more of that stuff than razors these days Ah, VAD.
Three injectors this week: An Easy Rider for me that I finally picked up. It's condition is user grade which suits me fine since I plan to use it. A Schick Grip for a friend who's been looking for one. It's user grade also which should be fine since he plans to use it. A Lady Eversharp that's NOS with the plastic blade still in it.
Very nice haul. Must say I'm intrigued by injectors these days and the Easy Rider was added to my never-ending want-list some time ago.
I get good shaves from the "L" models and I already have a StickSchick, a SchickGrip, and a regular L1 (that's unfortunately got a bad spring) so I was quite pleased to get an Easy Rider. I'd like to also add a Championship and a Paul Revere but like the Easy Rider they seem to be rather rare. I'll probably acquire a working L1 before I get the other two. The friend I picked up the SchickGrip for has a NOS gold L1 that I told him I plan to ask for at his funeral. The Lady Eversharp is the second K razor I've picked up in recent weeks and I'm tempted to use one of them (on my face, of course). *edit - I was just looking at the third picture in my post and realized the Schick Grip handle is deformed. On the underside of the razor it's bent outward a little bit at the top. The spring seems to be holding nice and tight so hopefully it will shave alright.
Santa Clause came late to Albuquerque. Quite the haul in hand-me-downs and gifts from my dad. NDC super speed, Ladas and Wilkinson Blades, LA Shaving Soap Co. Woody Lavender, and last, but not least, some Proraso Green so I can finally participate in Menthol Mondays. For some reason, the compute thinks this photo looks better sideways. You all get the idea.
Today's arrivals, bought them back in December =) I won't use for a while. I'm having fun with my Whipped dog silvertip
Thanks! It's a small project started by Juan / Dr Dulcamara, making Rubberset 400 type handles, in aluminum. I did, Gary, on the first batch, and finally got it knotted.
It's a small project, the first batch of handles was sold just a little over a month ago, but they are impeccably finished, and reasonably priced.
Gillette open comb, no notch, bulldog handle, 1934-35? Was marked $9.99 with a 20% off label! Paid just over $7 with tax! My first score!
They are from hong kong. It was like 48 swedish kronor. Haha! I haveent tried it yet. I think I'm gonna give one to my brother. Not sure yet =P
