These came in over the weekend. I've been going a little crazy on the vintage blade dispensers.

Another Gibbs mod, long (85mm) brass handle courtesy Claudio in South Africa. Weight 101.4g, balance spot on. By way of comparison, @twhite Gibbs is 92.2g, Rex Ambassador 100g.[IMG]

My latest pickup. Got the brush handle from a friend who has just gotten into the game, he's called Prometheus Handcrafts in case any of you may be interested. I knotted it with a TDR fanchurian that I had on hand- I'm in love with the knot, for fifty bucks you get a hell of a deal. It's almost on par with some of the Declaration knots that I've tried.

    1. La Toja Stick- for grating into bowl to make a nice puck, or as we say in UK a Cake of Soap.

    2. PAA V2 Starling SE-G,with standard & Open comb plates. I suspect I will be using a non stock heavier handle.

Received this at least a week ago. It is not a razor but the brush I won from @Enrico in the TSD raffle. It is a restored boar bristle brush. If you are into old school hair care then a boar bristle brush is a necessary tool to restore the sebum to hair and scalp. I use old fashioned lye soap to wash my hair and brush twice a day in the morning and before I go to bed with this brush. Use a regular comb or brush for styling.

A Starling V2! They're few and far between, at least here on TSD.

I received a V2 a few months back in a very generous trade/PIF with a member here. I've loved it from the first shave! A Gem SS blade and the purple baseplate is almost an automatic BBS. SO SMOOTH!!

And regarding the aluminum handle, give it a few uses and a fair shake. I too thought it'd be too light, but I've grown to really like it.

All in all, absolutely love the Starling V2.
