There's another Kabinett soap that is still available ,I can't remember the name, something like Dusy or Dusty or Doapy, but is there much difference between it and klar kabinett?
I was fortunate enough to receive these in the mail from a member here (who can tell me if I can disclose his/her name) I can't wait to shower tomorrow!
Got my accidental bottle of Ghost Town Barber the other day, after ordering Summer Storm. Emailed the owner just to let him know of the error but assured him I'm happy with keeping GTB. I expected nothing done about it, but here's what he wrote back: Now THAT is service! I wrote him back to say, since he kindly offered, I'd be happy with just a sample each of SS and Sherlock, but I don't know if he got it in time. I'll find out this week what shows up.
Found a pretty well-done knockoff of the old red Casio Frogman today for $3. Works, too. (pic is not mine)
These just arrived today from Poland. A member here was kind enough to send me stuff from my mothers homeland.
Schick Magazine Repeating Razor In excellent condition with 20 NOS blades. This thing is fun, I can't quit cycling blades through it. It will use modern injector blades. I have new blades due any day and can't wait to shave with it. I'm like a little kid with this one. I like it a lot!
Big PIF Haul, courtesy of @Bobcat ! This arrived yesterday, just now got into it. OC Razor is by Maggard. Some of the contents of this box will be featured on the upcoming 30 Day thread for July, look for it. Very excited about it! Special thanks to @Bobcat !
There are some comparison reviews out there and it seems like most agree on that the two soaps are very, very close.
Thanks! I have never seen a Maggard in person. It looks like a quality razor, head is a bit like a Gillette New it seems. I will put it into service on 1 July.
I just picked up a shelf that is the same brand a few days ago. I painted it today so now I have to wait for it to dry so I can put it in my den.
My lucky day! My wife and I decided just to take a day trip, with no set destination, to clear our heads and unwind. Our third stop was an antique mall we happened upon and this is what I found. An Illinois Strop Company Barbers Special No.99 A J.A. Henckels Chromium oxide pasted strop A C.V. Heljestrand No.6 straight razor And a Gillette Super adjustable N3 (1968)
Thanks! I could not believe the condition these items were in for the price paid. They are shown as found and only need a bit of sanitizing.
