    Honestly, what's happened is that I've built up techniques around a Plisson for about 450-500 consecutive shaves. It mostly felt like playing golf with someone else's expensive clubs.

    Looks to be in excellent shape. Bar handles held up really well.

    Used CO9T today after Stirling Bay Rum soap. Great stuff. Really nice face feel. My face actually feels moisturized after I use Captain.

    I do like the new synths, however my old Hi-Brush was not as good. To be fair to the badger, I've never had one that I felt needed to be broken in and I never soak them. I run some hot water on them for ten to fifteen seconds, squeeze some into my mug, give the brush a quick shake, load some soap, and lather with the water in the mug. I should also say that, thanks to forums like this one, I have never used a low end badger. They've all been good quality brushes. They do take forever to dry.

    The new Maggard knots are very good.

    Well damn this lot surprised. The Shake Sharp turned out not to be the hard to find Bakelite 1.0 but the rarest of them all the transitional Bakelite 1.5 with the hinged cap. Very happy. The aluminum Apollo of unknown vintage looks new, and the rare '32 silver/Bakelite Wardonia is gorgeous after cleanup and the included blade shaveable. [​IMG][​IMG][​IMG]
