Nikon Monarch's have been my go to scopes for over a decade now. The new Prostaff 5 line and Buckmaster's are very good too in their price point. Manhattan Cutlery Co 7/8" I found at the antique store and had to grab to restore. The scales are ridiculously warped and probably will need replacing however a close look at the steel leads me to believe the patina hasn't done much damage to it at all. Time to watch some scaling videos!
I bought my father in law a pro staff for his 308 this past Christmas will the bcd program work for it? @Bobcat
Lookie what the mailman dropped off today to my office...a hefty little straight razor, a 'Bingham's Best Brand (BBB)' 7/8 (half-hollow?). In need of a little bit of clean-up and polish on the blade, pivot point and scales, but it sure feels nice in the hand.
No photo, but I received a package from TSD yesterday: "M" Bomb, Osage Rub, and Iced Subzero Preshave balm. I'm looking forward to my first Menthol Monday.
I wasn't going to. I figure "Menthol Monday" is more a state of mind than a day on the calendar, anyway. However, I have the flu , and I just don't feel like shaving today. I haven't even been able to enjoy the aroma of my new stuff. Hopefully I'll get to it tomorrow.
Just arrived: Pedal Pushers Fancies shave soap in Coconut and Oakmoss Sage. They're too cold to get a good whiff of the scent yet.
Today 2 new soaps arrived: PannaCrema ...and i wanted to reduce some soaps / creams... At the same time i ordered a "Dickies Chino 874". I needed it because it looks very very good. I bought it in charcoal grey.
It's the size of the #48, and it does feel great in the handle, probably because it is made of solid resin.
Time to clean up and hone this baby! I can't believe my antique store luck today, they have a couple more there that I will round up slowly.
