So some of this stuff is from February, but I just started wet shaving last month. I guess you could say I was infected with all known acquisition disorders. Lol!
Hahaha. You know, my shaves have been going down in quality, tbh. A wiser man would have heeded your advice
I bought most of this stuff in a lot of of another forum's BST. The seller said he would throw in something special. As I said, I'm new. Is the Bic shave cream a wet shaver's great white buffalo?
I don't know about great white buffalo but definitely a rare bird. I had never heard of it and only found *this thread* from 2009. If crackstar hasn't seen it....Wow!
Does that blade dispenser have the instructions in it? I just sold just blade pack and instructions sealed like that for 55 buck. Great haul!
Hi together, today i got many very nice Birthday Gifts. Here are the pictures: Frank Shaving 28mm Synthetic Ovis "Schafsmilch" Bath and Shower soap. Very very nice. My family knows i love shaving and they bought me very fine stuff.
No pic yet but A Made in Belgium Old Spice mug with once-twice lathered soap and red plastic cover, Slim adjustable, Ever-ready blue/white brush, Schick eversharp injector, 2 hand barber shears, and 2-3 pair of scissors. Bought as a lot.
I received 2 Turkish #6 today, plus a after shave balm. I'm glad I ordered 2. A little QC issue. But. Heck they're $2.45 each. A great deal!
HELLO AMBER! Review with pics please!? Definitely a few of us around here are wondering about the mysterious loft change and how it affects the brush!
I'll use it for the first time tomorrow, and I'll be able to share more concrete thoughts. For now, I can say that the knot doesn't feel too small (it's about 51mm), and the brush is much denser than any other Synth I've tried, which makes for a very dense but soft feeling.
Got my True Blue (Scheffield) razor back from Whipped Dog yesterday! I've never used a straight, so I'm still freaking out. Bought a poor man's strop kit too. Dumb question...am I supposed to wipe off the oil before using?
Since I only use my straights once a week I keep a light coat of mineral oil on them all the time which gets reapplied after each use (once the razor is clean and dry). I wipe it off before beginning to shave so my fingers don't slip.
Definitely. Depending on what oil was used to protect it, it can be a skin irritant. Any time I got a straight back I immediately washed the oils off and dried it thoroughly.
