It's an old type of "scuttle". It's not like modern scuttles but rather from a time when not all bathrooms had running water. I put boiling water in the bottom then soak the brush during my shower. Load the brush with some soap(currently TSD Egg Nog) in the top then enjoy a nice warm face lather.

Lucky Tiger is my "daily driver" of aftershaves. Great skincare and a light pleasant scent that doesn't linger. It's Grrreat!

I finally have my new shave froth foam bowl. Otherwise known and a uk exotic department branded pudding bowl. If you all didn't realise, pudding bowls are the new shaving scuttles!

So we had pudding for dinner. And now I have a funky shave bowl

Well.. Got my travel Gillette from the 'bay today.. Also picked up this Auto Strop Valet from the antique store.... I "thought" it came with a box and instructions. Got home and well, you see what the box was for.

I guess as long as eBay says I got a good deal then I'm good. Right? Time to clean and do a little more research. Oh and $13 shipped for the travel and $10 for the Valet.

I tried to upload some pudding but it had all been rather quickly consumed in order to get the bowl in the sink and cleaned up. I broke it in with some arko. Tomorrow I think I will introduce it to some col. Conk.

Got something for my den. It included a nice 1908 single ring.

I had one just like that one (with a telescoping neck) a few years ago but the mirror was shot, so I pitched it when I moved. Just bought an $11 nickel plated stand mirror at WM. Working out great so far...it's about that height but has a nice big mirror.

Black handle is date code S4. The other one wouldn't even open when I started. Had to soak it with some penetrating oil, works good now. The metal handle one has no visible date code that I can see.

The all metal one is not the best condition on the bottom side as you can tell from the way it began. The black handle one though, is just beautiful with only a couple minor blemishes.
    After...

Thanks... The bad razor was $2, black handle $5, $3 each for the blades, and $4 & $6 for each brush.

    I bought myself a flashlight. I had 9 LEDS, it's pretty strong! Wasn't expensive, about 5$ =P

It's always good to have a flashlight around =P and I'm not paying 100$ for one(yet)
