E901B471-2B98-438A-B661-0F5F078C27B6.jpeg Just got this Theirs-Issard Sheep & Wolf in a trade. Honed it myself! I’ve been only honing and using “TRADITIONAL” straights for 8 months or so and I’m getting much better at the honing than I was in the beginning. Now I understand what people Ment by letting the feedback talk to them, and watching the water displacement and using things like the tap & wobble test, sharpie test, nail test to check the bevel etc… Before i used to take me close to like two hours now it only takes me about 25 minutes to do a full hone.

the naniwa stones are awsome BTW

Recvd this West Coast Shaving clone of the Merkur 23c from @Lancre. It's my raffle prize, and I'm very excited to have it in my den. Haven't shaved with it yet, nor have I ever had or tried any Merkur razors. This clone has some heft to it and I think it will be fun to shave with. It is also the most "modern" razor I own...as a clone. Thanks to Tom for supplying this cool prize, and to all denizens who participated!

Well Saturday I drove an hour and a half to pick up a 1920's Hi-Lift jack (Handyman). While I was there, the gentleman offered me another one from the 30's in much nicer condition. I told him I really want to go the price he was asking ..... he cut the price by 50% and I accepted. I now have two vintage Harrah Handyman Hi-Lift jacks.

I'll post some pics when I get them out of the car.

    :)

Monday’s mail call is some Injector blades by Personna and Ted Pella as well as a vintage Schick Stick injector razor; the seller of the razor also gave me a sample of Soap Commander Zeal and a die to track shaves per blade as well as a thank you card. Bostonian case arrived today, left. There was Grey primer on the case, but comes off pretty good with metal polish. A few more spots and my Bostonian will have a new home........[IMG]

Got my raffle prizes from @jay_gatz and @Queen of Blades. Last week, actually. I've been a little sidetracked...
Thanks a bunch to both of you.

Sweet. They come in mighty handy for the Schick Proline blades with no key on the magazine.

Nice blades those Derby Premiums and nothing's ever wrong with a Buck knife.

Buck knives are great, the 110 is one of my favorites. I kind of want a 119. But then again, I have way too many puukkos. :D

Many years ago I worked at a knife store and was spoiled on puma knives. That said I can appreciate any well made knife.
