I was wondering this also... I've seen these before and even just got one from my mom that was my dads. I've assumed that it is a lint brush of sorts like a barber would use to brush hair clippings off... Possibly? Maybe?
It's for when you must lather (her?) at the greatest possible distance..... Lord, I am sorry..........
Gem Feather Weight (garage sale find) I hope you guys appreciate that photo. It's getting harder and harder to hang from the chandelier and take them..... Tomorrow mornings shaver!
Picked up the razor and brush when I stumbled upon Made Man Barbershop in NYC. That moment when your souvenirs are also shaving gear.
My last haul of May.... Unless I stop by an antique store on my way home from work. Ha Got this Gillette New LC because it was cheap, plus don't have one stripped like this.
This product is nice. A little goes a long way. It has essential oils in it; feels very soothing. The smell is perhaps a bit medicinal but it grows on you. It's made in New Brunswick by a natural soap company called Olivier. They have a shaving soap as well, though I've never tried it. www.oliviersoaps.com/our-products/skin-type/men
After a few weeks of holding back, I gave in to my newbie urge to acquire a few razors - quickly. Some of my specific considerations leaned towards - vintage razors, razors that I can use now as a novice, and due to a lack of time to hunt locally...I needed to acquire online. I think I accomplished all of the above and am satisfied, to where I can let go of purchasing online for future purchases and take my time poking around at flea markets and such when the situation presents itself. Here they are: Bottom - Schick Golden 500 - this actually came last week and I've been using it already. I purchased it with the idea that I wanted a more narrow head to trim more precisely around my mustache and goatee. In the first few uses it has done exactly that. Actually, I like it so much that I'll probably even use it to learn full-face injector shaving. Disappointed that the cleaning lever does not work, but I understand that it is not critical for normal use. I probably could have gone with a different injector razor but this one was nice and clean and came in its original box. Two Birthyear razors (1955) - Gillette Silver Flair-tip Superspeed. - Gillette Tech Ball Tip The SS is in mint condition and the Ball Tip is almost as nice. I haven't used either yet. Will probably use the Ball Tip today. I'm using my fourth razor - Gillette Gold Tech fat handle, everyday since I received it a week or so ago. Since I'm more used to it, the others won't be used for awhile as I begin a June 30-day rule using the Gold Tech. Now I understand the AD condition I *read* so much about on the Den! Cheers! - RT
Shipping to Germany costs me 15€. Shipping is via UPS. Send in Italy on Monday, arriving on Wednesday. Very fast shipping. And for my liking, not too expensive. Yesterday a wonderful knive arrived: Opinel No. 8 with Olivewood Handle Now i know, why so many people love their Opinel knife. It feels awesome in your hand, is build very well and looks pretty oldschool. I never had a knife with me until now...this will stay with me every day from now on. Beautiful!!!
