I would be floored if it doesn't rapidly become one of your favorite razors.

I wonder what the mods needed to edit out of your post?
I bought it for £50 + £23 shipping, the original brush sold for £49.95 shipped, so a good deal, all things considered, since that brush has been long out of production, and as far as I know, will never be made again, unless Fido comes out of retirement.

The Tubby 1 sold for £43, so not a terrible mark up for the brush I thought I was getting.

As for "quite different from my 2001," not really. The backbone, loft, and hair type are all about the same. It's definitely a product waster, takes three times the product of the 2001, and holds enough lather to shave two grown men. I've grown rather fond of it, though I will probably return to the 2001 soon enough.

Received a really cool PIF from @aelfred.t.allspa today. The important part of a Razobrite Bath set. It contains my first sample of a tallow soap by Stirling Soap Company. Headed to my shave den to try it out right away!

I'm glad you got it! I was worried it might crack when I packed it in there

How would you describe the Arlington scent?

This came a while back. It's a Gem Contour SE razor. I have never owned a razor that fits so well in the hand. I haven't had this the best shaves yet. I guess I just need to use it more and find the right angle. I think it's new as it still had a card inside the razor head telling you how to place the blade.

I bought a Weber razor from Tuxxdk. There's no photos as technically my wife bought it for me as a birthday present so I haven't even seen it yet. I have to wait until August. However when the razor didn't arrive alone. Martin very kindly included some items. A lot of items.
There is a Gem blade dispenser which will come in very handy. A sample soap or De Vergulde Hand.
    A pack of Viking blades
A pack of Rapira Swedish Steel blades and
    A Star 1912 Razor!!!!
Thanks Martin it was a wonderful suprise! I do already own a Ever Ready 1912 but they are a bit different. The handles are different heights and I need to weigh them but the Star razor feels lighter and very different. I'm excited to see how it shaves. Once again a great demonstration of the generosity of the members of this group.

Got home and my Van Yulay After Shave Splash was waiting for me. Will use it tomorrow, but dabbed a little on my forearm about 2 hours ago and I can still smell it without raising my arm close to my nose. So far it is as strong as the Terre d'Hermes EDT that it smells like.

That's either a blessing or a curse. As a daily shaver, sometimes twice daily shaver, I'd consider you lucky.

Why I am still on the couch, exhibits F, G, and H. The Shave Den Purple Rain, Barrister & Mann 42, Route 66 Twisted Tweed, and Route 66 Samples of A Perfect Storm, The Perfect Gent, Barbershop Hop, and Ghost Town. I got the Purple Rain soap on Saturday and have already used it. My biggest challenge for this week will be which one to use next. Of the Rt 66, I think A Perfect Gent is my favorite scent so far.
