Had some soapy goodness arrive... And last night was the maiden shave for #19. A well loved Canadian Bulldog. Plating is gone but the teeth are straight and she's crack free. This has to be the most aggressive bulldog in the kennel and definitely demands a light touch...
Harris Teeter clearance section, two 16 oz bottles of store brand Witch Hazel for a quarter each. Yes, I did buy them.
[QUOTE I've been watching antique/thrift stores for one of these. View attachment 165942 [/QUOTE] Me too! Might even work for holding safety razors as well, as brushes.
Years ago I tried one, it works if you have the room for it because it takes up a decent amount of space, but the arms need to be taped or something because they can very easily scratch razor and brush handles.
This is a exciting find and the potential to be my finest coticule I have found in the wild. I have always been hunting for a 6 x 3, came close with a 4 x 3, but this stone measures in at 5 3/4-5 1/4 x 4 1/8-3 3/8. It is dripping with age in a heavily oxidize wood box. It is all coticule with no BBW attached. Even with all the markings, funk and a few manganese lines on the surface, it is perfectly flat, smooth as glass, appears very hard, and has the ever so slight sensation of grit. Won't have no time this weekend but can not wait to give a green bath, lap, and test drive
