I got lucky with two antique store finds yesterday. I officially have too many techs, though. I may be moving from "vintage junky" to "shopaholic" in the rankings. Looks like it is time to think about making a trade or using my extras to somehow fund some of the razors I don't have. The SA is a Y2...I am closing in on my X4--only two quarters away lol. Ebay sucked me in this week too; I pressed the button on a combo of an Aristocrat Jr and, yep, another tech. The Aristocrat looked pretty rough in the pics, so I am hoping it is ok. They should arrive next week.
Oh man.. a couple of years ago i was the same way.. I had thought 7 or so razors was a crazy amount.. then I went up to 14 and swore I was done... lol to be honest I forget home many I have but it’s more than 50 and less than a hundred.. I think..
Had a few packages show up in the mail the other day. Tried the Siliski soap for the first time yesterday and it seems like a top notch product so far. Wild West have come up with some beautiful scents. Went with Rose Dunn for today's shave and it is a beautiful scent. The Calamity Jane has a fruity type of scent, because the scent is random this one was a gamble, but luckily it worked out.
Yesssss indeed. Welcome to the club....beautiful razor. Let me know when we are having a OC Dammy shave day!!
I received a brush handle from @jimjo1031 on Friday. It is a beauty for sure. Perfect in every area of brush making. I dry fit a few knots and found the Maseto LS Two Band 100% Finest 24/63 fit best without any further work. You have to like that. After curing for 24 hours I did a test lather with his never before used knot and I think it is a keeper. This is a good value knot at only $32.00 plus shipping. Outstantding job Jim, thank you very much.
I have continued to be lucky this weekend by picking up a nice Made in England SE for $3.86 or 5 bucks where I live. Sent from my SM-A520W using Tapatalk
