The Haul: November 2014

With CO Bigelow on sale (normally is, buy 2 get 1 free), $1.36 per oz instead of $1.80 per oz for Proraso..that's a savings of $6.86 over the 15.6 oz purchased, does that count towards DE shaving saves money?

Picked up some yellow Barbasol canned foam last night. Actually provided great cushion and moisturizing.

 

Canned foam!
I always wondered about why Barbasol would be great for the first half of the can but once you used up half of it, the foam was never as thick and just wasn't useful. I sent an email to them and instead of answering my question as to why it did that, they just responded with a coupon for a free can. I never redeemed it...

 

I don't like canned foam either, but the yellow can with lanolin is about the only one that is passable for me.

It's for days when I'm in just too big of a hurry to mix lather, and I don't have any brushless right now. Like when I wake up late. Lol

You dont hear too much about those soaps nowadays

 

Pig Trail Bath Soap??? I have no idea where that leads....

 

I might suggest Kiss My Face shave cream for such days.

 

Shave den soaps arrived.

Lavender-rose.
A light scent. Very nice. Almost pick up a cucumber scent to it along with the floral scent. Very excited to try it.

Pumpkin harvest.
Another light scent but very nice. Doesn't smell like pumpkin pie but I pick up a vanilla cinnamon type smell. I like it a lot.Reminds me of fall.

 

Obtained a code on a thread, and the sample from the Soap Exchange arrived today.

Also, big thanks to @ram57. He noticed an entry on my Santa wish list...and he sent me his Glacial Obsidian and Yeti Snot shave soaps so I could experience. They also arrived today. Guys like him make TSD special!

 

Indeed, that's why I'm a member of several other shave forums but post here the most. It's a special group of people. Like family

Here people are truly happy for you when you achieve a good shave or get something cool for your collection, other places it's almost like a competition to see who has the better "stuff".

I could not resist. I took the Obsidian up to the den and test lathered it.

It's such a lovely evening...28F, light winds...I am gonna head outside and warm up my face.

@ram57...you rock! This was the highlight of my afternoon! I love the strength of the menthol. I will be sure to comment on performance when I get there! I can already tell it will pair well with Figaro AS and Vitalis!
