For my birthday today I received a 4 oz. bottle of Aramis EDT(my fave) from my wife, a gift set of 2 oz. each of aftershave and cologne of an oldie but goodie Canoe from my son, his wife, and my grandson. That takes me back to my high school days. I still love the scent. The other day in the mail from Jim @Jayaruh the JR #25 brush handle we have a deal for and a surprise cartridge of Ted Pella injector blades for my birthday. Thanks buddy.
Thank you for the birthday greeting Mr. @Darkbulb my hero for Traditional Shaving Acquisition Disorders. Many more finds to you my friend. Thanks Brian. Wow, that's a lot of candles. Did I really have that many? Here's to all at TSD for your part in making it a memorable birthday.
So what razor did you use on your birthday? I have a recent 'tradition' of using my birthyear Gillette Slim on my birthdays
Thanks @IDuck. This is not related but I find c.s. Lewis and most Christian apologist hard to read. To wordy for me I guess. Just give me The Book and I'll be fine. Thanks again.
I I've been a participant in OCtober. I did a first pass with a Gem OCMM because I got bit by it Monday for my lack of respect. I thought I would do a first pass to try to regain some love. Oops again. I did a planned second pass with my '48-50 ('49 being my birth year) Aristocrat. Man I love that razor and she loves me.
First of all, Happy Birthday Don. Secondly, that Aristocrat of yours is definately a 49'.......the 48' and 50' didn't shave nearly as well as the 9er...
I received Blades for my (hopefully very fast) arriving Mongoose and samples from Meißner Tremonia. The Cade Shave / Bodybutter smells wonderful. A bit like a crackling fire in your chimney. Wow!!! Greetings Thorsten
Being a "niners" fan you have some hope. I grew up near Detroit and have been a lifetime Lions fan. Haven't seen a championship since 1959. The Ford family should sell the team to somebody who cares. At least I still have hope for my Red Wings.
Received this really, really neat silver plated Pairpoint shaving mug. It's in amazing condition for being about 100 years old - I doubt that it was ever used.... And, as a nice 'bonus' for me I think it goes rather well with my recently acquired razor shown here w/ the mug:
I hauled a gem featherweight single edge razor. I asked at a garage sale. two bucks. it's got a white handle and gold finish. I'll post pic after its cleaned up. I also received my second rolls razor( it's pictured in what are you waiting for)
