This guy on the bay is getting rid of a huge lot. Sixty of these twin blade for about $30 or so. I bought them because Mr Schick - aka @Billyfergie claims that they are indeed the dogs danglies...
Awww...fond memories....I lived in Chicago in Wrigleyville = the best city in the US if you ask me - a stonesthrow from the park when Harry passed away..
It is! Just got them all cleaned up.... Let's just say someone didn't know what they had other than "7 old razors". I even fixed the red tips doors.
NICE find on that mug. The best site I know of to date your old OS mugs is this one: http://www.oldspicecollectibles.com/Mugs/Hull Pottery.html You seem to have 02 or 03. Nice.
For $35 those razors were a steal. A super-quick swag at pricing them....25+ 15+25+10+25+15+0 (broken RT) gives a very rough estimate of $115. Not too shabby at all.
Thanks Darkbulb. Also the red tip has been fixed, just had to tweek the bar on the end that holds the doors in place. Nice and smooth now.
Now you can tell your wife; "See hun, I just made over $80 on that purchase. I really need to keep buying more razors as we plan for our financial future don't you think? Also, you look great today."
Received a 1920's French lather catcher. The good: It's absolutely gorgeous: The bad: The seller decided to send it in a thin envelope from France to the US and the head got a bit smushed in transit to the point where the blade can't be fitted in it.... Now, it's possible that I could bend it back into shape again but it's not a very flexible metal - this must have happened from having had quite some weight on it. I contacted the seller and we'll see what he says... Ugh
Most of what I've received from France, Italy or Germany was in an envelope. And France charges a pretty penny for it.
